One is now available new iTunes update for OS X and Windows. There are several new features that iTunes 12.1 brings, although some of them depend on the operating system that we have installed.
The novelty that all users can enjoy, regardless of the operating system we have on our computer, is a iTunes performance improvement when it comes to syncing with the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
If we use OS X Yosemite on our Mac, iTunes 12.1 also adds a new widget for notification center and thanks to which, we can see what is being played and have direct access to the usual multimedia controls. This widget also allows us to buy songs from iTunes Radio that we are listening to.
As you can imagine, this widget not available for older versions of OS X since the possibility of adding this type of accessories is exclusive to Yosemite.
And it seems that these are all what's new in iTunes 12.1. Perhaps an error has been solved or some section of the application has been optimized but Apple has not given more details in this regard.
