Augmented Reality came to Apple's mobile platform with version 11 of iOS. Since its launch, some applications make use of this technology. Nevertheless, Apple is working hard to make Augmented Reality and its ARKit platform more present in the lives of its users. Hence, it launches a new website in which it wants to better explain what this new technology of the future consists of and also offers applications for each of the sectors it names.
ARKit for iOS can work on any iPhone or iPad that has iOS 11 or later installed. Surely you will remember that IKEA application in which it was possible to know how the furniture would look - with names increasingly difficult to pronounce - in your home before buying them. In the first of the sections, «Productivity», Apple wants Augmented Reality to solve everyday problems. In this section he promotes the famous app from IKEA; the app from American Airlines that will allow you to know where your boarding gate is; or he gives the example of GE workers who he allows to know how to install new machinery.
In the second of the sections, «Leisure», Apple says that our environment can be a world of games. And it is that the games charge more interest with ARKit. In this sense, it promotes My Very Hungry Caterpillar, Monster Park, and of course, Pokémon GO.
Finally, we will find the "Education" section. Augmented Reality pIt can be a good method for the little ones to learn new concepts in a very fun and entertaining way. In this case, the following three applications are recommended: "Complete Anatomy", "JigSpace" and "SkyGuide".
