Apple Maps adds public transport routes to Switzerland

Apple Maps is becoming more and more interesting, an Apple mapping app that got off to a bad start probably due to the rush with its launch, yes, over the years they have managed to create a mapping application at the height of the most used such as Google Maps or Here Maps.

And we have news regarding Apple Maps, and it seems that public transport information is increasingly widespread. Are you planning to travel to Switzerland? Apple Maps just added all the public transport information in Switzerland, now it is much easier to move around the country thanks to Apple Maps. After the jump we give you all the details.

Apparently Apple would be taking advantage of a recent launch of an open source API of the Swiss government that provides information about country transport data (train, tram, bus, boats, and funiculars); a lot of information that has helped Apple add all Swiss transport information to Apple Maps. Information about the interior of Zurich airport has even been added so that we can move through it at any stopover we make in this international airport.

A great option for all people residing in Switzerland, and for all of you who are planning a visit to this wonderful country. I think Apple Maps is becoming a more interesting app and obviously from Google Maps they are seeing that it is increasingly difficult to overshadow Apple MapsIf there is something in which they overshadow it, it is in the information of the premises but this is something that they can achieve quite easily by allying with other services such as the collaboration they have with Yelp or Tripadvisor. We will continue to await any news that they continue to add to Apple Maps ...

    Hello

Well, I am a resident of Switzerland and I have been using Google Maps for several years precisely because it gives me all that information in detail and on top of it including the estimated time walking between my house and the stop for example etc. And nails it all.

I will try to see what this can add more to Apple Maps, but come on, I think Google Maps must be one of the apps that I use the most without a doubt on my phone.

As I said, there is still something additional that VS Google Maps offers.

    Greetings 😉
