Apple Maps keep getting better and now have more Flyover tour

The month of December has served to apple maps get a little better. At the beginning of the month, nine more locations were added with Flyover and just a few days ago, new virtual tours were added in three European countries.

Specifically, the cities that now have their virtual tour on apple maps they are Budapest in Hungary, Strasbourg, Dijon and Millau in France and, lastly, Malmö in Sweden.

The virtual tours of Apple Maps is a functionality that takes advantage of the FlyOver three-dimensional rendering to take an aerial tour of the most representative points of each city.

Following the latest update of Apple Maps, the service now has more than one hundred locations modeled in three dimensions, of which approximately half have virtual tours to see their main tourist attractions.

To see if our city has Flyover tours enabled, we just have to look for it in Apple maps and select it. If it offers the possibility of seeing its main points of interest, in the application interface you will see an option labeled with the text "Madrid 3D Flyover Tour" and a start button to start it.

Let's hope that Apple continues to improve its maps service since in my opinion, they are still very far from Google Maps and with the announcement of the arrival of HERE in 2015, their usage share may be reduced a little more in the coming months.
