Apple modifies Angela Ahrendts' position on its website

In most keynotes, Apple usually turns to its top managers to present or inform about the news that it has prepared for us. Tim Cook, as the head of the company, is in charge of presenting all the company's keynotes. But also Philip W. Schiller, Eddy Cue and Craig Federighi are usually the fixed in these presentations although Federighi did not appear in this last one. On occasion Angela Ahrendts has appeared in a keynote but very sporadically. The one who seems to be stage frightened is Jony Ive, head of design for all the company's devices in recent years. His work only focuses on providing his voice-over in the videos that the company shows while it presents its products.

A little over two years ago, Apple hired Angel Ahrendts to take care of the physical and online stores of the company. Until a couple of days ago we could see on the Apple website dedicated to company executives how Ahrendts' position showed that he was in charge of online stores, but currently that information has been eliminated, leaving only Senior Vice President of Sales retail.

Everything seems to indicate that this modification is simply an aesthetic change and that Ahrendts will continue to carry out his work as before. This change seems to indicate that Apple wants to merge both the online and physical stores and not the change in Ahrendts' responsibilities, since if we enter her biography we can read that she is «responsible for the strategy, real estate and development and operations of Apple's physical stores, online stores and centers of Apple online contact ».

If we take into account that a little over a month ago Apple began removing the word Store from stores on the website, it is understood that this change is part of a remodeling of the brand, which in all probability will bring us the odd surprise.
