The guys at Amazon are not stupid, they know where the business is, and so they want to add Apple services to their devices with Alexa. After the release of Apple Music for the Amazon Echo, Amazon just released the Apple Music skill for the Amazon Fire TV, now we can listen to music (and watch shows) with Apple Music on our TV. Well yes, you read correctly, Apple Music also comes to the Amazon Fire TV (not to be confused with the Fire TV Stick that we can buy in Spain). They already did it for the Amazon Echo in the United States, and now it also comes for their multimedia center for televisions through a new skill compatible with Alexa. In addition, they have announced the launch of Apple Music for the Amazon Echo in more countries in the coming weeks, a deployment that will begin in the United Kingdom, and that will surely reach all the countries in which the new Amazon Echo is sold with Alexa.
Now we just have to wait, I think Amazon is on the right track by inviting Apple to be on their services, above all, with a view to the launch of the new streaming video service. Apple Music and the future Apple Video? They are competitors, yes, but the truth is that there are many users who do not mind paying another service to have even more content. Being able to use all the services on the Amazon Fire TV opens a world of new possibilities. We will see if all this also ends up reaching the Amazon Fire TV Stick, or if the shopping giant decides to launch the Amazon Fire TV in other countries such as Spain (the deployment was stopped until the launch of Alexa in new languages).
