Amazon just announced that its popular Echo devices will enjoy Apple Music compatibility.
This compatibility with Apple Music will make Amazon products one of the most interesting products for Apple Music users, without having to resort to the HomePod.
This compatibility will arrive the week of December 17, 2018 (in just 20 days). We do not know if the ad refers to all Amazon Echo and compatible countries, but nothing makes us think otherwise, so we can expect an update of the Echos that we already have in Spain.
This will allow us to ask Alexa, as we already do with Siri, songs, albums, lists, etc.. Even play Beats 1, the Apple Music radio station.
Apple Music, remember, will arrive as an Alexa skill, like the rest of the Echo compatibilities, so we must activate it before using it.

The Amazon Echo are now compatible with streaming music services, like Spotify, but it has been a real surprise that they now become compatible with Apple's streaming music service, Apple Music, since Amazon and Apple are competitors in the sector.
Still, Apple Music, despite being from Apple, is on other platforms such as Android, so it is not unreasonable to think that Apple's strategy in this regard is to be available to as many users as possible.
