Other functions that we also find in the patent is the possibility of protect Apple Watch when we take it off our wrist, either to keep it in your pocket, or to transport it in our backpack or bag. The strap would completely wrap the device, and thanks to the magnets on the strap, the strap would stay attached to the device.
Another function, which I can't see very clearly, but it seems that Apple does, is the possibility of place the phone on the MacBook screen. MacBooks are made of aluminum, so we would have to buy a separate accessory, to be able to attach the Apple Watch with this strap to the MacBook, since aluminum is not a ferrous material to which the Apple Watch strap could not adhere.
