If this news is confirmed, Costa Rica would be the second country in Spanish-speaking America to receive this functionality after Mexico. In Brazil, Apple Pay has been in operation since the last Olympic Games held in 2016.
In this way, Costa Rica would become the First Central American Country to Receive Apple Pay Support, a feature that is already available in more than 60 countries. Apparently, BAC Credomatic began testing support for Apple Pay in Costa Rica a few weeks, support that will be available to VISA and Mastercard users initially.
