Apple Pay is about to launch in China with UnionPay

The wait to be able to use Apple Pay in China seems to be coming to an end. A couple of videos have appeared in which you can see how the mobile payment system of those from Cupertino is used in the Mandarin country, more specifically with credit cards from the country's bank UnionPay. As you can see in the videos, it will be possible to buy both in physical stores and make in-app purchases (within applications). You have both videos below.

Apple Pay arrives in China

In the first video we can see a customer who seems to select a UnionPay card in Apple Pay and make a payment in the fast pass of a Verifone terminal to make a purchase in McDonald's. The terminal responds that the transaction is complete, records the purchase and prints the ticket.

In the second video we can see a video capture in which a user chooses a UnionPay card in Apple Pay and makes a purchase integrated with the Chinese travel application ctrip. The transaction asks you to enter the fingerprint and it is verified.

Keep in mind that both the first and the second video could easily be faked, But Apple announced last month that Apple Pay would arrive in China in early 2016 and precisely named UnionPay as one of the first banks that could use its mobile payment system.

China will be the fifth country to be able to use Apple Pay since its launch in October 2014, joining the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. The good news for those of us who want to use this type of mobile payments in Spain is that Apple Pay is expected to arrive in our country at end of this year, around the same time as Hong Kong and Singapore. It is still a bit strange, since Germany and France are always at the top of almost everything Apple releases. In any case, it is likely that Spain has made things easier for Apple on the banking issue than Germany and France. On a gifted horse we don't have to look at his tooth.
