Currently, almost 90% of merchants in Japan offer the possibility of paying using the FeliCa card, which thanks to this update, is already compatible with Apple Pay, so that users of iPhone and this NFC card will be able to make purchases and payments directly with the iPhone without the FeliCA card.
Apple arrives in Japan being compatible with American Express, Mastercard, JCB, iD, QUICPay, AEON, Credit Saison, JCB, Mitsubishi UFJ, Nicos, Orient Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Card, Toyota Finance, UC Cards and View Card.
