Apple Pay is now available in Switzerland

apple pay

In the last keynote when Apple talked about Apple Pay and the payment options that macOS Sierra will bring us, the Cupertino-based company announced the next countries where this payment technology would arrive. To all the followers, resident in Spain, of the firm we were stupid, Since months ago, Tim Cook himself announced that Spain would be among those chosen to receive Apple Pay thanks to the alliance that had been reached with American Express to reach this new form of payment in Spain, Hong Kong and Singapore. Coincidentally, these two countries have already been enjoying Apple Pay for a few weeks in the case of Singapore and several months in the case of Hong Kong.

Apple displayed the flags of the countries where Apple Pay will arrive in the coming months. Among them was Switzerland, where Apple's digital payments platform just landed, hand in hand with Visa and Mastercard. At the moment only users of Bonus Card, Corner Card and Swiss Bunkers can now add their credit and debit cards to this payment platform.

At the moment, a large number of businesses in the country are already compatible with Apple Pay, among which we find the Apple Store, Aldi Suisse, birds, C&A, kiosk, LiDL, mobilezone, P&G Books, SPAR and TopCC. But they are not the only ones, since in the not too distant future there will be more businesses compatible with Apple Pay and other contactless payment platforms. A large number of shops they are updating their terminals in order to offer this form of payment to all its customers, not only to iPhone users, but also to users of other electronic payment services such as Samsung, Mastercard, Visa ...

For now in Spain we can only wait to see if at the end of this year we are lucky and we can enjoy this payment technology. Maybe we can get out of doubt in the next Keynote, in which Apple will present the new iPhone models and probably the new Apple Watch 2.

Every time they publish a news about apple pay they do not miss the opportunity to cry because it has not yet arrived in Spain, please, it is not even the end of the year, and they cry like crazy when it arrives in another country.
