Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, designed for iPad Pro

Apple-Pencil-1

After a long time, many patents and many rumors, Apple has finally decided to launch two accessories for the iPad that many have been asking for a long time. A keyboard that at the same time acts as a cover and that he has called Smart Keyboard, and a pencil that, of course, he has called Apple Pencil. These two accessories are specifically designed for the iPad Pro and are intended to provide it with more productive and advanced features.

Apple Pencil

After years of repudiating the stylus, Apple goes and launches one for its flagship product. If Steve Jobs had been on the stand yesterday, he would surely have given a more than logical explanation to justify why now was the time for such an accessory for the iPad. The Apple Pencil is much more than a digital pencil. Its extremely thin tip, its ability to differentiate the pressure exerted, even the inclination with which you write, and the practically non-existent latency between what you write and what appears on the screen make it a real pencil to write or draw on your iPad.

As we can see in the Apple presentation video, the precision when drawing lines is excellent, and also the possibility of changing its thickness with pressure changes, or of creating shadows just by tilting the pencil make it a very useful tool for drawing or design tasks. But it is also useful for simply writing, be it annotations in a document or even creating a complete document with it. And when applications are updated to be compatible with Apple Pencil, the possibilities will increase.

Apple-pencil-charge

A full charge of the Apple Pencil gives you 12 hours of continuous use, that is, more than enough to cover a day of intense work with it. But if by chance you run out of battery, charging it cannot be simpler: remove the cap from its upper end and thanks to the Lightning connector you can charge it with your iPad, inserting it into its Lightning input. A charge of just 15 seconds gives you 30 minutes of work, more than enough for an emergency. It will be available for sale at the same time as the iPad Pro for $ 99.

Smart Keyboard

Smart-Keyboard-2

Keyboard, cover and bracket. The Smart Keyboard is an all-in-one inspired by the Microsoft Surface keyboard. A full keyboard that lacks battery, power switch, or Bluetooth connectivity. It's a full keyboard lacking only the function keys on any Mac keyboard, and covered in a very tough fabric that is smudge- and splash-proof. Its connection to the iPad Pro is made physically through the Smart Connector, located on one of the sides of the iPad Pro, and through that connection it receives power and sends the data to the iPad. Apple promises a user experience similar to that of its keyboards, so finally typing on an iPad can stop being a martyrdom.

Smart-Keyboard-3

Like the Apple Pencil, the Smart Keyboard won't be available until the iPad Pro is on sale, and its price is set at $ 169.

They will continue with steve jobs and the stylus, 1_ first jobs is gone, this is tim, 2_ jobs said that when he presented the iphone, and he referred to as the main instrument of interaction with the screen, this pencil is for the ipad and it is an accessory, you will continue to use your fingers. As simple as that.
Now I think the most important thing is whether the pencil will only work for the pro or for all ipads.
