Apple will allow us to know what data our stores, modify and delete

Apple is preparing a specific web page that will allow us to know what data about us it has stored, and not only that, but also modify them, put them on hold for a while or even eliminate them completely. In the midst of all the commotion mounted by Facebook there could not be a better time to stand out and take this step for those from Cupertino.

It is not really something related to the events that occurred around Facebook, but it has been going on for a long time since it responds to a new regulation on data protection that enters into force in Europe as of May 25, and that Apple already has prepared to launch in the first days of May.

With the recent update to iOS 11.3 Apple has already begun to show more information to users when some system function requires the use of the user's personal information. But that is not enough, and therefore it will allow us to know all the data that you have about us stored on your servers. It is not just about our name, address or telephone, but about more personal things like the music we listen to the most or the pages that we visit the most.

Until now this information could only be known, modified and / or eliminated by contacting Apple directly, and now it will be the first time that anyone can access it from a website, using of course our Apple credentials. In Europe, this new function will be available from the beginning of May, before the new regulation comes into force, and will be gradually extended to the rest of the world. Great news for those who are jealous of their privacy, or those who for any reason want to remove all traces of their experience with Apple. A movement that should be imitated by other companies, at least in Europe.
