Today Apple has endeavored to give us work to the writers of the blogs on their subject. This afternoon the final versions of all its operating systems have been released and among them is the final version of watchOS 2.2. Unfortunately for the owners of one of the smart watches on the bitten apple, we cannot say that this new version of watchOS comes with many new features, unlike iOS 9.3 and tvOS 9.2 that do come with a good group of useful news.
The first novelty that comes with watchOS 2.2 is that the iPhones running iOS 9.3 or later will be able to be paired and traded with multiple Apple Watches. Until this update, if a user wanted to pair his Apple Watch with another iPhone, before he had to unpair it from the first and re-pair it with the new one, something that we can say was anything but fast and useful. It is not a great novelty, but it is welcome.
watchOS 2.2 improves the Maps app
Until the release of watchOS 2.2, when we opened the Maps application we would see our current position and we had to do a deep press to see the options. Now the application opens directly to a screen with menus and options with larger buttons for easy access. On the other hand, a larger button to search has also been included.
If we take into account that the most interesting news of OS X arrive in October and that both iOS 9.3 and tvOS 9.2 include useful news, I think that watchOS 2.2 is the worst update of those that have been released today for all operating systems on the apple . Being a device that is less than a year old (or at least the first users have it less than 12 months), I think that Apple should put the batteries in the development of watchOS or it could see how people lose interest in it. Apple Watch. Hopefully they have something better in store in the not too distant future.
I don't even get the update, I don't know if it's because I have the 9.0.2 jailbreak on my iPhone but I don't get the update on my Apple Watch. Maybe i need to wait more
The exact same thing happens to me, I do not think that the iPhone has anything to do with it, but that the update will not be at the same time in the whole world, we will have to wait.
They have to have the device on ios 9.3
It seems so, thanks for the tip. For my part, going from version 2.2 of the clock, right now it does not give me problems, and it does not bring enough improvements to update the iPhone to 9.3 and lose the Jailbreak.
All the best
