Apple releases iOS 11.3, but only for the new iPad

When many of us were waiting for the update to iOS 11.3 yesterday during (or after) the presentation of the new iPad 2018, Apple goes and launches it today, without prior notice, and only for the new iPad. Only a new device that is not yet on the shelves of the stores and that right now you can only make the purchase through the Apple Store online with shipping for next week is the one that can use this new version 11.3 released to the public.

In a strange move that may be rectified in a few hours, Apple has released one of the most anticipated updates of the year for the new iPad 2018. Will iOS 11.3 be down for the rest of the devices? Meanwhile you can take a look at the news that it includes.

The most relevant changes included in this new version 11.3 from iOS are, from what we have seen in previous Betas, the following:

• New Battery menu within Settings to check battery health
• Four new Animoji (lion, skeleton, bear and dragon)
• ARKit 1.5 supports vertical, irregular surfaces, autofocus and 50% more resolution
• Business Chat for Messages (US only at the moment)
• Health Records in the Health app (United States only)
• Greater importance of videos in Apple Music
• HomeKit compatibility via software
• Ability to send your location when calling emergency services
• Messages in iCloud
• New privacy screen in settings
• The App Store shows the version and size of the update in the updates tab
• Apple TV is included in the Home app as an AirPlay 2 compatible device
• AirPlay 2
• New information screen to make purchases by pressing the side button on iPhone X
