Apple releases public version of iOS 9.1 beta 1

iOS-92

It seems that Tim Cook and company knew that they owed us something for not having released betas in a long time and they launched the iOS 9.1 first public beta. Among the novelties there are many that we will not be able to use, since they focus on details of the iPad Pro, a tablet that still has a long month to go before it goes on sale.

What we have been able to check for those of us who have installed it is that there will be many new icons available. The truth is that between new emoji there are many that will be very useful, but there is also one that many of us have been waiting for a long time. Indeed, the "comb" or "atpc" emoji will be available in iOS 9.1

Additionally, the first beta of iOS 9 includes support for Unicode 8, and enter other emoji such as taco, burrito, unicorn, hot dog, popcorn, cheese, and many more.

The new beta of iOS 9.1 will appear to developers who have installed beta 5 of iOS 9.0 (they are late for me), so it is likely that it will also appear via OTA (Over The Air) to users who have installed beta 3 from iOS 9.0.

If you install any of the iOS 9.1 betas and find something new, feel free to comment on this article but, as I said before, it seems that this version will focus on the only novelty of the new emoji, support for Unicode 8 and other novelties that They are related to the 12,9-inch iPad.

Does WhatsApp work correctly for you? I installed it but WhatsApp did not work for me, it told me to download the latest version when I already had it

I already installed the 9.0 GM yesterday, I saw on the Apple page that this version (Beta1 9.1) had many known bugs.
Is it true that it has a lot of bugs or does it run quietly?

Hi, it works great for me on my IPhone 6; Except for an application that has not worked for me in any Beta «Clear Accounts 2» and I sent them an email asking them to give a solution to this problem, but I am still waiting for an answer. Thanks. Greetings from Chile.

On iphone 6plus it works perfect. No lags, no closures, nothing gets hot ... And the battery has improved a lot. I've been disconnected from the charger for 1 hour and it still hasn't dropped below 100%.

  8.   Carlos said

Installed in a Plus ... I had the GM and I noticed some lag that another in this everything goes to 100% this should be the final version of iOS9 ... the truth is that it is luxurious. I recommend its installation !!! although I have installed from developers, not the public one.

much better than the 9 gm ... without a doubt and look that I have an iphone 5 ... well I notice the difference!

So is it worth upgrading to 9.1? What did you do clean restore or update from ios 9 gm? Remember that I am not developed

  11.   Antonio said

I did ... clean restore to 9.1 with a posteriori backup of data and without any problem! ...

  12.   Alberto said

It is advisable to do an installation from scratch but if you update via OTA, just reset all the settings so that it works well for you

Hello, good afternoon…. I have a pebble and an iPhone 5s with beta 9.1. At the moment it works and, above all, excellent battery consumption (since it is something that worries me) what I'm going to…. On the locked screen, the WhatsApp achievement appears on the lower left side and its operation is the same as that of the photo camera, when you slide it up, after entering the unlock code, it enters the WhatsApp app. Likewise, when you double-click the start button, all the running apps appear and at the bottom the whatsapp symbol with the Pebble (Number) connected info ... It's something random and it only seems to appear when the pebble is connected. I hope it helps you and I have photos in case you are interested in receiving them, greetings

I installed it from a newly refurbished phone and WhatsApp does not work. I think that if you want it to work, you should just update and not install from scratch ... I hope they release an update: /

Correct I installed 0 and the WhatsApp did not work, but I updated it from the GM with whatsapp activated and it works perfect

  15.   Sergio said

I think I have not run with luck since I download it on iPad and install it but it hangs in "updating iCloud settings" and from there it does not happen
    What solution can you please?
If I turn it off, it welcomes me in the different languages but when moving forward and accepting the licenses it stays stuck in what I said above

Iph 6 plus. Perfect (update via OTA), from beta 5 iOS 9. WhatsApp ok, line .. Etc. Lighter since the beta 5 got hooked on me .. PROFESSIONAL use, (5 c. Mail), Apple Watch… 30 calls a day .. And Safari has improved… My only doubt: the switch from weak wifi to mobile network is automatic? - I do not see improvements in settings ..
In iPad mini 3 it runs fine ... This afternoon I will put my lady's Iph 5

  17.   Jordi said

I updated it as soon as it came out by ota but I have seen that Siri's suggestions regarding places do not come out, it happens to you ???

    1.    Jordi said

Correct, on the iPad with beta 9.0 it appeared randomly, with 9.1 it does not come out

Hi, I have an iPhone 5s and I want to know if the problems with Whatsap persist?
    regards

    Good day.

Update iOS 9.1 and the whatsapp asks me to update the most recent version, which I already have, however it does not allow me to access ... Can it be updated to the final version of iOS 9 even with 9.1?

  20.   menstyleig said

They persist, I just installed on a 5s and the whatsapp has worked until I have restored, there it has stopped working.

I installed the ios 9.1 beta and it appears that my 16 gb phone has only 11.9 gb of capacity, the same as when I had the ios8 installed. Isn't ios 9 supposed to weigh a little over 1GB and should have more space available? What can I do to have more space? Thanks and regards!

  22.   Juan Luis Gonzalez said

The same thing happens to me, I only have 11.9 GB free, isn't it supposed to weigh less? Or only the final version of iOS 9 weighs less?
