We were not few means that yesterday we echoed of a new iOS security flaw that affected the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and that allowed a user to access / modify contacts and view our photos without the need to use code. The security flaw was that after making a Twitter search via Siri, the contacts could be accessed by means of a 3D Touch gesture. Apple tends to respond quickly to these types of problems and has already fixed this bug remotely.
Yesterday morning (already in the afternoon in Europe), an Apple spokesman confirmed both that they were aware of the problem and that they had already solved it. The normal thing for these cases is to launch a new version of iOS to correct the failure, but this time they have done it remotely, which means that no need to update the terminal. According to the Apple spokesman, from the moment they began to fix this problem, it would take hours for it to apply to all users.
Apple fixes latest Siri ByPass in record time
The previous video, which is where it is shown that the failure exists and how to reproduce it, was published last day 4. The media echoed us yesterday day 5 and Apple has solved the problem this morning in Spain, so the solution has arrived less than 48 hours after the problem is known. Quite a record. I have checked it myself and when I search now it does tell me that I have to unlock the iPhone first.
In any case, if you are concerned about this type of ByPass's, you have to bear in mind that in most cases you can skip the unlock code by accessing Siri, the Notification Center or the Control Center from the lock screen. By deactivating the three options, the danger diminishes or disappears, but we diminish the user experience. What would you do?
Well I don't know where Apple launched the solution because my phone continues to give access as shown in the video Hehe .. Nothing is perfect Apple will not be the exception ... And believe me in phone issues I am 101% Apple but they must be recognized the mistakes…
