Apple removes AirPlay 2 feature from latest beta of iOS 11.3 and tvOS 11.3

24 hours after releasing the update 11.2.6 that solved the bug of the Indian symbol Tegulu, the guys from Cupertino launched yesterday a new beta of iOS 11.3, specifically the third beta, a beta that in theory we offered a solution to the reboots caused by this Indian symbol.

The main novelty that brings us the third beta of iOS 11.3 and tvOS 11.3 is found in the disappearance of the AirPlay 2 function, a function that allows us to reproduce the same audio on different devices and that was one of the main novelties of this next big update.

Thanks to AirPlay 2, we can play music on two different Apple TVs simultaneously, or on two or more HomePods scattered around our home (although not at the moment because the multiroom function is not yet activated). The Apple TV appeared within the Home section and showed us the option to select on which room we wanted to reproduce the content musical that was played on our iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

As usual, we will never know what have been the reasons why Apple has withdrawn this function, but it doesn't make any sense unless you have been forced to remove this feature from the next update to release it in future versions of iOS. As Apple said when it introduced this technology, its launch would take place throughout this spring, so it is likely that we still have to wait.

Perhaps the reason why Apple has withdrawn this function is none other than improve performance before the release of the final version, to avoid that this technology begins to offer operational problems and that once again the Cupertino-based company is on everyone's lips for its gaffes in software development.
