Little by little the devices that allow us to control different devices in the house are becoming a more common lake, although they are still too expensive for the actual utility we can give you. Thanks to smart devices we can automate through our device the turning on and off of lights, blinds, electrical appliances, fans, opening or closing doors of garages or even homes ... Homekit is the Apple platform that allows you to control all these devices in a way together in a single application, as long as those devices are compatible with the protocol used by Apple, since otherwise it cannot be controlled through the Home application available from iOS 10.
The guys from Cupertino to try to give a boost and encourage users with these technologies, has renewed the website where it offers us information on everything we can do thanks to Homekit. The first thing that this face lift of the web shows us is a video where it shows us how simple and comfortable it is to control almost all the devices in our home, from the coffee machine to the lock of our home, including a series of routines so that when we tell Siri that we are gone, for example, to turn off all the lights, lower the blinds and turn off the heating.
Our early-adopter Luis Padilla, published a fantastic article a couple of weeks ago in which tested a number of Homekit-compatible devices. Apple has been working for several years on this communication protocol that allows us to group together or independently manage all of them in a single device, a protocol that, as you can see in the video of my colleague Luis Padilla's article, has arrived at the age of majority. If you want to take a look at the Homekit page, in Spanish You can pass them through this link, but it is not yet updated with the video and the new information it shows the Homekit page in English, at least at the time of publishing this article.
