On April 22, Earth Day is celebrated and as proof of Apple's commitment to the environment, the Cupertino-based firm has changed the color of the logo to green, a move by Apple that has become something usual. For some time now, Apple shows its commitment to various events or celebrations or when it is celebrated the World AIDS Day, in which change the company logo color to red. But this time, Apple has not limited itself to changing only the color of the logo, but has also provided green t-shirts to employees, t-shirts that they will wear until the 22nd.
As proof of Apple's commitment to the environment, in the last keynote Apple showed us through several videos, the procedure that the company follows to try to recycle the maximum number of components of the devices that you recall to try to pollute the environment as little as possible. Liam, is one of the robots developed to carry out this work, and which we already talked about at the time, is in charge of disassembling each and every one of the components of the devices, classifying the extracted materials for later recycling.
Currently some of the latest Apple Store that the company has opened in recent months they are obtaining all the electricity necessary for their operation from renewable energy, as is the case with the last Apple Store that opened in Brussels or some of the last Apple Stores that the company has opened in China. Apple's future plans go through creating gigantic fields of solar panels to be able to supply the factories that assemble their devices with the electricity necessary to carry out the entire process, and thus be able to put aside polluting energy sources such as coal, widely used as source of energy in China.
