Apple has just announced that all the content available on Apple TV, mainly series and movies, have received 389 award nominations and have won 112 awards since launching the streaming service in November 2019. In the same statement, Apple states that it "has received more award recognition than any other streaming service on its debut."
The last awards we found a few days ago in the comedy series "Ted Lasso", which received a Peabody Award for Excellence in Storytellingplus two Critics Choice Real TV Awards for Oprah Winfrey's interview series "The Oprah Talks" and the musicians docuseries "1971: The Year Music Changed Everything."
Rival streaming services, like Netflix and Disney +, they don't share their prize stats easily so really we cannot make a real comparison over time. A comparison of which if we have data is found in the nominations for the 2020 Emmy Awards in which Netflix obtained a record of 160 nominations, compared to 18 obtained by Apple TV +.
Remember that Netflix began broadcasting original content in 2013, so it has a 6-year lead over Apple. Also, a few years ago, streaming video platforms were unable to compete in many awards contests.
