Apple updated iOS 5.0.1 to fix the "No SIM" notice

Normally when Apple wants to modify something or fix an error, it launches a new firmware version, but what happens when this error affects only one device? It makes no sense to release a firmware for all devices and not change anything on most devices.

That has happened with iOS 5.0.1, Apple has released a new version (build 9A406), with this Apple has wanted fix the "No SIM" or "Invalid SIM" error presented by some iPhone 4S users.

If you don't have this problem you don't have to worry, but if you do your only solution is to restore again. If you already had iOS 5.0.1 installed, no update will appear, that is the problem of not releasing a new version. If we also put together that Apple has released the firmware without encryption ... this update is a botch; hopefully iOS 5.1 will appear soon.

The first thing is that you show a little more respect to speak on this blog, and the second is that it is a botch on their part precisely because it is an advantage for the scene ...

The second; No matter how much they take out the Siri files, it can NEVER be ported to other devices because no matter how much you have the program on, for example, an iPhone 4, ALL of Siri is on Apple's servers and these only allow interaction with the 4S. The only thing they could do is point to other servers but that will no longer be Siri, but a rehash that will have absolutely nothing to see.

Siri is and will only be for those of us who own an Iphone 4S that simple 😉

You tell me the truth, since you brag so much: What do you really use SIRI for? And do not tell me that it is in English and you are waiting for the update to Spanish, since. What is SIRI really good for? Are you going to be talking to the phone all day? You do not think that it is faster to do it in a tactile way, since in most situations you will not understand the phone or will start doing the wrong things. Of course, the great advantage that I see in this SIRI system is for people with physical disabilities, the truth is that it is a great advance.

I don't know what you think but I see it that way.

One question do you know if when version 5.1 comes out, it will be necessary to restore if it is in 5.0.1 to go to 5.1. or can it be updated keeping everything?

It can be updated keeping everything, but honestly what I will do is what I do every time a new update comes out and is to restore / update as a new iPhone and put it all back without copies or anything, so there are no residues.

Hello, I have an iPhone 4s in 5.0 and I update to 5.0.1 and I have had thousands of problems, first the internet comes and goes, second I cannot use the icloud well, and I cannot send messages just call. And I called my phone company and said everything was fine. What I can do?

Call Apple's technical service, it seems that it is a software failure, or better restore and update as a new iPhone that will surely solve you, something similar happened to me, I called Apple and they told me to do that since they had put a new one version 5.0.1 for the iPhone 4S with some improvements for the terminal that corrected certain bugs, I also updated a new operator data configuration with which I have gained coverage in sites that I did not even have.
But first of all then do not dump any backup, you will have to do everything from scratch, and remember to remove the code from the sim.
