Apple updates iPod nano software

Ipod nano

The seventh generation of iPod nano has just seen how its software has received a new performance, being now its latest version 1.0.4. This free update can be installed by connecting the device to the computer via USB and accessing iTunes as usual.

The update does not appear to bring any noticeable changes to the functionality of the iPod nano, but Apple's touchscreen player is nevertheless supported to be compatible with Apple Music. Therefore we can determine that this new version is a maintenance update and solution of small holes that, in addition, adds compatibility with Apple Music as its strongest point.

One of the holes that this update solves caused the iTunes application to close on computers that had the beta version of the new Apple OS X El Capitan operating system installed. Just before the update began to install, the iTunes application closed with a program error.

The seventh generation of iPod nano was officially announced on September 12, 2012. This generation introduced the compatibility between the Bluetooth 4.0 connection system and the wireless accessories that we would like to use with the device, such as: wireless headphones or heart monitoring devices for sports activity. This latest iPod nano is sold as the thinnest iPod nano out there, being thirty-eight percent less deep than its predecessor. The current one has only 5,4 millimeters, compared to 8,78 in its previous version.

This summer, Apple released the sixth generation of iPod touch, in addition to adding a number of new colors to the iPod nano range. Beyond the new colors, the hardware of the device did not suffer any variation or improvement, not even one of the most anticipated by users: increasing the internal storage space.
