Apple updates the iBooks application and adapts it to iOS 7

New iBooks design

Apple has updated this afternoon the application for reading books and PDF documents, iBooks, to the new version 3.2. Brings with it a completely new design adapted to the new iOS 7 software, in addition to a new icon in line with all Apple applications, as it recently updated Pages, Numbers and Keynote with design and icons. This icon redesign simplifies the open book layout on an orange gradient background.

As soon as we open the iBooks application we will see that the wooden shelf has disappeared in exchange for a simpler design. Apple shows with this update that little by little it has managed to get rid of all traces of skeumorphism in iOS 7 and that all its applications are already in accordance with the system. There are no known other changes or new features added in this new version, since the note that Apple has added to the update is from  "IBooks has been updated with a beautiful new design for iOS 7". The interface is very similar to the one already released by the same application for the OSX platform with the output of Mavericks.

With this recent update, the Cupertino company completely breaks with the design by Scott Forstall from the wooden shelf, which gave the application a more 'real' touch, as if to read a book we were in front of a bookstore. This change is sure to cause a stir among the iOS user community and non-devotees of design simplification and loss of graphical appearance. Like iBooks, the educational content application has also received a redesign update iTunes U, also with a new icon and a more simplified review and in line with iOs 7. The book store, iBookstore, with this update it also launches its new design like the one already available in the App Store and iTunes Store.

Apple has already made the leap to iOS 7 in terms of application design with this recent update to iBooks. If you still do not use it, remind you that it is a fantastic reader of books in Epub and documents in format pdf, which will sync bookmarks and notes in them between our devices through iCloud. Is completely Delivery to Italy takes one or two business days and you can download it from the company's application store or go through the following link.

the users who left us on iOS6 won't even let us try the new apps with this interface change, on my iPod 4 it won't let me download the new version, it tells me to download the latest version "compatible" with my version

It was the last thing they had to charge. How awful, it's just as awful as the rest of the system. Luckily I tried the betas of this horror in summer and I stayed with version 6.

How sad to see the new design 🙁 They already killed the podcast app with that tape that owes it a very good touch and now they erased the wooden shelf ... bad.

There is still the Friends app or Friends whatever you want to call it so that all Apple apps are adapted to iOS 7

I don't understand what the big problem is with this version of iBooks. The pages still have the same effect that imitates a real book and the one on the bookshelf, well, it did not match with iOS 7. Please, this change was necessary!

Atrocious, it seems to me a sad, flat design, not a hint of life or imagination. Luckily I was able to stop the update and it has not changed. I am so disappointed in Apple….

I love iOS 7 but what they have done with iBooks is a sloppy thing. I use it a lot and every time I open it, it makes me want to not use it anymore.

With this, I think it is one more reason to stick with iOS 6.

It is awful! They have "disgraced" it, I am looking for an alternative app.
