If you are lucky and have an Apple Store near your place of residence, it is likely that you have visited it on more than one occasion if you have had a problem with your iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac and you know how the Genius Bar works. Our colleague Miguel He related in a post the treatment he received in the Apple Store in Sol, leaving very disappointed by the treatment received.

However, a few weeks ago I went to the Apple Store in Murcia, for the same problem as my partner Miguel, changing the screen of my iPhone, and unlike my partner, I left more than satisfied with the deal and speed of the service received.

According to 9to5Mac citing internal sources, Apple is considering making changes to the operation of the Genius Bar, in terms of the performance of the time that experts spend in solving problems presented by users. Currently, if you go to the Genius Bar, by appointment of course, you have 10 minutes to solve the problem if it is related to iOS.

Whereas if the problem is related to a Mac, the consultation time is extended to 15 minutes. If in both cases, the scheduled time is not enough, the user has to request a new appointment to try to solve the problem again, since We are not offered the possibility of extending the time that the Apple Store expert is dedicating to us.

Apple Store employees say that an algorithm will automatically assign appointments to other employees who are free, if the expert who is trying to solve a problem is taking longer than usual. Employees claim that with the entry of the new algorithm that would handle appointments, breaks would be reduced between appointments.
