The Apple Watch is the smartwatch that produces the most satisfaction

Apple Watch - Thumb up

I have to confess that when I heard this news I was not the least bit surprised: according to a report published by the market research company JD Power, the Apple Watch It is the smart watch that has achieved higher marks in terms of satisfaction of customers, while in second position is its main rival, Samsung, and all despite the fact that the Koreans arrived first in this market.

The study has been achieved by measuring the Average satisfaction of 2.696 users (which seems little to me) who bought a smartwatch in the past year. Ease of use, comfort, autonomy, phone features, price, ruggedness / durability, screen size, style / appearance, reliability, available applications, and customer service were considered, i.e. take into account everything that could be taken into account.

The Apple Watch is the smartwatch that you like the most

In total, Apple achieved a score of 852 out of 1000, 6 points above the 842 achieved by Samsung. In terms of autonomy or charge cycle, those from Cupertino got 5 points out of 5, while Samsung and the other major brands got 2 out of 5 (one point less than the average in this section). The Top 5 is completed by Sony with 840 points, Fitbit with 839 and LG with 827 points.

In 2015, another company, in this case Wristly, said that Apple Watch customer satisfaction reached 97%, and that the first version of the Apple Watch operating system, which I believe was not yet named from watchOS, it was light years away from watchOS 2 and the comparison of that version with Watch 3 it would be nothing short of ridiculous.

On the other hand, and if at the beginning of the post I said that I was not surprised by this news, I think that we must also take into account the compatibility of smart watches with our mobile device. Whoever uses an Apple Watch is supposed to do so with an iPhone and this is where Apple wins the battle again, in the ecosystem. As good as a Samsung watch with Tizen OS is (like the Gear S2 that a brother has), there is little it can do against a clock with your own App Store with thousands of apps like the Apple Watch, not to mention they use systems built from scratch by the same company.

Do you agree with the results of the JD Power study?
