Apple will allow manufacturers to integrate chargers into Apple Watch docks

One of the main problems that accessory manufacturers face for iPhone, iPad and iPod for a long time now, it is the certification imposed by Apple on its charging accessories, according to which only certificates can ensure XNUMX% risk-free compatibility when charging our device.

This has been shown again patent with the number of charging bases that are being launched on the market as accessories for the Apple Watch, a product that is monopolizing a good part of the manufacturers of this type of additions that make our day to day with the watch easier when charging it. However, it is still somewhat uncomfortable to have to go around embedding the charger that comes with the hair in the charging base and remove it from there if we want to take it with us or charge it elsewhere.

Apple wants to change this, so it has updated its program policies MFI (Made For iPhone / iPad / iPod) for manufacturers of these accessories can directly include a charger in their bases. Said charger will be provided by the usual suppliers of the company and will be, for all purposes, like the original charger that is included when buying the product.

There are still a few months for this to be adopted as standard and manufacturers can begin to produce their charging bases and other accessories with a charger included, but it is a very important step that can become more relevant with the arrival of Watch 2 in September, with which a rebound in Apple Watch sales is expected.
