Audiobooks move to iBooks in IOS 8.4

The first beta of iOS 8.4 comes with a major redesign in the music application, something that has directly affected the playback of audiobooks. As of iOS 8.4, all the audiobooks that we have stored on our iPhone or iPad will no longer be in the music application and they will become part of iBooks.

It is a movement that generates conflicting opinions since, on the one hand, it is logical to think of iBooks when we talk about audiobooks but on the other hand, we have been with this option available in the music application for years, so its presence was more than consolidated by now.

But iOS 8.4 doesn't just change where we have to go to listen to audiobooks. Apple has taken the opportunity to add new options like fast forward and rewind just by moving the book cover left or right.

With this change, the music app lives up to its name and prepares for iOS 9 and music streaming service which Apple has been working on for a long time according to rumors. iTunes is still a strong market but more and more users prefer to pay a monthly fee for a flat music fee, something similar to what Spotify offers us, to name a few example.

It is the logical thing, since many people do not even know that audiobooks exist, and thus frees the music app from so many things.
