Aura Strap is a smart strap for the Apple Watch and can now be reserved

At the same event in Las Vegas but a year ago there was long talk about a leash called Aura, specifically the Aura Smart Strap. This is not a normal strap for the Apple Watch and all those who do not know what we are talking about, we can say that this strap launched now officially adds a series of sensors on the part of the strap that are capable of performing the analysis of hydration levels and body composition.

To collect this data our body uses an electrical bioimpedance system, something in which they already have experience in Aura since since it was founded in 2016 they have several products similar to this accessory that they have just launched for the Apple Watch, the Aura Band. This is a strap that in 2018 raised almost $ 110.000 in a Kickstarter campaign and allows us to monitor body composition, hydration levels, activity and heart rate. In this case, the Aura Strap is different, since through an app it collects the data of our Apple Watch from the Series 4 model.

Available in three colors and priced at $ 99

At the moment the Aura strap for the Apple Watch is available for reservation for $ 99 on the official website and we find it in the colors red, green, black and gray. In the box we find everything you need for its use and it has full compatibility with the Apple Health app, but it also has its own application that we find in the App Store totally free (we leave a link at the end). It is also available for the 38/40 mm or 42 / 44mm models and is logically waterproof with an IP 68 certification.

The battery of this strap is of the type (CR1620) so according to the company itself we will have up to 6 months of autonomy quietly. With it on, we can have more data about our body and especially interesting details for hydration, muscle or fat that we have in the body. The strap can be reserved now and it will be ready to be sent to the first buyers at the beginning of the following month of April.
