Impressive video recorded with an iPhone 4S

Photographer Benjamin Dowie already has his iPhone 4S and has decided to put the Apple phone camera to the test, so the terminal accompanied him during one of his surfing sessions. During this time, Benjamin recorded different shots testing various aspects of the new iPhone 4S camera.

Upon arriving home and transferring the videos to the computer, Benjamin was pleasantly surprised by the impressive quality of the videos. The image stabilizer works like a charm, the depth of field is really good and the colors stay true to reality.

Still shocked to see the videos that a "simple phone" had recorded, he decided to edit it, add some more takes and publish what you can see at the beginning of this post.

Who of you has forgotten about the compact and has opted for the iPhone 4 / 4S + Reflex combo?

Well, the video seems pretty good, what surprises me the most is the stabilizer. For a phone, it's not bad at all.
What I would like to see is the autofocus speed, which for me is the most important thing in a video camera!

Well, from what I have been able to see for close-ups the quality remains very good but for distant shots the focus or the resolution leaves something to be desired but let's not forget that it is a mobile phone and not a camcorder.

Even so, I'm not going to change my i4 for the i4S unless Orange offers it to me, taking advantage of the fact that my stay is running out jur jur jur.

    regards
    Frank

That the colors stay true to reality? .Really?

If the colors seem phosphorous (see the flowers) and the only planes that look good are the macro ones. The rest is blurry and takes time to focus. One more mobile camera.

Personally, it seems to me that the video is very bad, what is interesting about recording stones or flowers? that pretty much any high-end phone like the iPhone does well.

He must have taken shots in low light conditions, distant objects, people talking (to test the audio), etc.

The colors were slightly edited (if you see it from vimeo, the author's comments come and it says it was slightly edited).

Even so, the video recording is very good, total, for the nonsense that would occupy it, I do not use much quality haha,

another question ... 16 gb for Full HD videos is little vdd memory?

16GB is enough if you have few applications and no pre-installed videos. I have a 4gb iPhone 16 that to record videos, I have to put low quality music, zero videos and the applications that I really use. But I am thinking about it and possibly buy the 4s of 64gb, because I pass mine to my mother, (she has a 3g)

What has become clear to me with this video is that whoever recorded it should remove the scab from both the nails and the feet….
