BBVA and BancaMarch now available on Apple Pay

BBVA and BancaMarch have just activated the Apple Pay service for their cards. BBVA was the large Spanish bank that had yet to join, although it had already been described as "Available soon" for weeks. Well, today has been the day and we can now enjoy all Apple Pay iPhone users with BBVA cards.

There doesn't seem to be any limitation for the card type, mine is a debit VISA card and I have also checked the credit cards of relatives and they are activated correctly.

Remember that, To add a credit or debit card to Apple Pay, you must go to the Wallet app on your iPhone and press the + icon in the upper right. You can fill in the data manually if, like me, the design of the card does not allow the correct reading by the camera. It is not necessary to have the BBVA app installed, as you can verify that it belongs to you thanks to an SMS code. It is of course also compatible with the Apple Watch. To do this, you must add it from the Watch app on your iPhone or after adding it on your iPhone. Throughout the day, we can also expect an update to the BBVA or BBVA Wallet app that allows cards to be added from the application.

Spain, which started timidly with Apple Pay, has already closed the circle and all its large banks now have Apple's service. Apple's Apple Pay page has not yet been updated to add BBVA, but it is normal for them to do so throughout the day, and may also confirm the activation of BancaMarch, the other bank that, together with BBVA, is below « Available soon". I have not been able to confirm it, because I do not have access to any card of the entity. Have you been able to activate it?

I have just tried to activate the BBVA Repsol Visa and it tells me that it is not compatible yet. It is a credit Visa.

DGF, that is happening to all or the vast majority, but go ahead and see that you can activate it, ignore the message that tells you that they are not compatible

My daughter has already done it right now. Although at the end it says that it is not compatible, we have clicked on "I accept" and it has been activated correctly. If someone does not let him insist.

Perhaps because it is Visa Repsol; At Caixabank I was able to activate all debit and credit cards except the Repsol Visa.

    All the best
