After offering his next album on various digital media, the Alternative rock group «The 1975» has announced its plans to broadcast its Los Angeles concert live in the middle of this week. They will do so with the help of Apple, since the group and the Cupertino company have signed an agreement to broadcast the concert on the radio 24/7/365 Beats 1, a station of which I am not a loyal follower but when I heard this news I thought that "it must have something good."
The concert is scheduled for the Thursday 25 day of February and it is the first event with the Beats 1 brand since Apple introduced the radio station as part of the package that makes up the Apple Music services, a presentation that took place at WWDC in June 2015. Right now, Beats 1 is the only thing that Apple Music offers without subscription, but it is expected that at some point they will also open up to 4 more stations that will be called Beats 2, Beats 3, Beats 4 and Beats 5.
The 1975 concert on Thursday, February 25, will be the first for Beats 1
As you might expect, the details of what will be seen at The 1975 concert are not known but, having featured some of their upcoming songs, they will most likely perform. many of his latest works, something that personally I don't like my favorite groups to do (and, luckily, some of them don't do it even with the album already on sale). The concert will take place on Thursday at 9 a.m. Pacific.
It is also not known what level Apple has gotten into at the event, but they are announcing it on the official Apple Music account on Snapchat and the accounts of Lowe, Beats 1 and Apple Music on Twitter. What is clear is that the company directed by Tim Cook will use this concert from The 1975 to encourage users to listen to Beats 1 and, incidentally, subscribe to Apple Music.
