A few days ago we told you about Swype, a keyboard that comes from the Android sector and that we anxiously awaited in our iOS 8, after evaluating the application's work system, the price, which is not expensive, costs 0,89 euros.
For this reason today we will show you the third-party keyboards that work sliding fingers by the keyboard to select characters instead of hitting them and they are for free.
SwiftKey
SwiftKey is probably the most popular and a favorite. This keyboard learns and adapts to your typing style, while offering the prediction self-correction and suggestions of words. The problem is that for this you have to give you access to what you write and, unfortunately, we write all kinds of confidential information between all the applications we use. I made a installation tutorial of this keyboard where this defect is highlighted.
TouchPal
This is another keyboard with swipe input and it is free, it also brings more than 800 emojis. With its prediction system it is able to save 90 percent of keystrokes.
adaptxt
This is probably the least known keyboard which does not prevent it from having custom prediction learning, as well as the support more than 90 languages. Interestingly it also adds gesture shortcuts, making it easier and faster to write repeating text.
Hi, I have a problem with third-party keyboards or is it in general.
I want to have only 2 keyboards, Emoji and SwiftKey or Swype (I remove the Spanish that comes with the iPhone) when responding to interactive notifications, both on the locked or home screen, only the Emoji keyboard appears.
Third-party keyboards don't work in these cases?
Hi Gorka,
It is an error that has not been fixed, looking at the Apple forums, they indicate that within the update 8.0.2 the correction of the error of deselection of the third-party keyboard that you normally use was included, now when you leave and enter you have the keyboard that you left as selected before closing, but it seems that it does not allow to eliminate the default quicktype that the system brings, it is as if it needs a system one to support others.
This is all I know, I hope it helps you.
A greeting and thanks for comment.
the problem is that if everything I write is going to be sent to whoever made the keyboard, perry will use it….
Not everyone has access to the information you type, the difference is that it is encrypted once the usage is analyzed on the device. Anyway, all keyboards, even the serial one, can send what you type or simply spy on what is sent after typing, like whatsapp.
By this I just mean that we have to trust that the system is safe and if it has passed the premises of Apple developers, it is likely that its use does not lead to criminal activity. If someone decides that you are your target, you can hide under the bed and they will wait for you there.
Give it a try and try the one that best suits your use, worry about the rest when it arrives. Remember that the information of massive and indiscriminate espionage does not come from our country.
