Top 5 Task Managers for iOS - Two Year License Giveaway

task-managers

For some time now, applications to write down our daily chores, both in work life and in personal life, have become popular among users. And as proof of this, we have without going far what's new in iOS 9 Apple added to the Notes app, an application that is installed natively on iOS.

The iOS 9 notes application allows us to create task lists, which we can gradually eliminate as we go through them. Also thanks to the synchronization through iCloud we can access them through any other device  that is associated with the same account, be it an iPhone, an iPod, an iPad or a Mac. Although we can also consult them through iCloud although this last route is the slowest of all.

Currently on the market we can find a large number of applications that allow us to control our tasks, tasks that are synchronized with all the devices where we have the application installed. Unlike the iOS notes, which does not offer an application for Windows, the rest of the applications do offer us this possibility, at least for the most part, so they are more suitable if we do not limit ourselves exclusively to the Apple ecosystem.

In this post we will try to summarize the main applications that allow us to control our day to day. Also thanks to the Todoist guys, all the readers who participate in the contest that we offer to Then they will be able to win one of the two annual licenses that we raffle at a cost of 28,99 euros.

Best task managers for iOS

The main reason to talk about this application in the first place is not because of the giveaway that Todoist offers us, but because it has been the application that I currently use to the detriment of Wunderlist, an application that I told you about in the post of my favorite applications that all the editors of Actualidad iPhone the last Christmas.

Todoist, which has recently been updated, allows us manage all our tasks directly from the Apple Watch, supports natural language when entering tasks, allows us to schedule and classify them in different folders to be able to find them in a much easier way than if we put them all in the inbox.

One of the advantages that it also offers compared to Wunderlist is when saving web links. Through the different extensions that we have for iOS and almost all browsers and operating systems, from any page we can send Todoist any link to view it later. The difference with Wunderlist is when clicking on the link. While Wunderlist stores the URL as textTodoist stores it as it really is, and we only have to click once to open it, while in Wunderlist we have to click several times to open the URL in the browser.

This application is available for download and use for free, but if we want to make use of the advanced functions, we will have to pay an annual subscription. It is also available in all existing platforms on the market.

Sleep as an Droid

Wunderlist, together with Todoist, is the other queen application in the market of applications to manage tasks. One of the reasons why I switched to Todoist is the issue of how it saves the links. In my job as a copywriter, I have to read a lot of content and I have the need to save pages as references my work, and that fundamental function for me Wunderlist does not do it as it should.

One of the advantages that Wunderlist offers us is the possibility of share to-do lists with a workgroup so that the whole group can access to-dos and mark them as done once they are completed. The way to share them seems much simpler, easier and more intuitive than with Todoist, which also allows it, although users without many needs will hardly notice differences.

The application for OS X and Windows is not all that intuitive and comfortable to handle since the categories they hide while we browse the folders, quite the opposite that happens with the Todoist application. Like its main rival, Wunderlist also offers us different extensions to save links directly from the mobile or desktop browser.

Clear

Aesthetically Clear we could say that it is the one that attracts the most attention since relies on color intensity to prioritize of the tasks that we write down. Thanks to its simplicity, it is one of the easiest to handle, but at the same time it is its negative point since it does not offer us many customization options. Clear does not require any annual subscription to be able to use all its functions, but only by paying 4,99 euros, we can now make full use of this application. Clear offers us an application for OS X and is priced at 9,99 euros, but does not offer any option for Windows users.

Toodledo

Toodledo orders the tasks according to their priority, placing at the top of the screen, those that have a closer expiration and we can't stop doing them. It has a direct access called Hotlist, where we can find all the tasks that we have pending to perform in the different folders that the application allows us to create, in this way we do not have to go browsing through the different categories that we have established.

Unlike Clear which is limited to the Apple ecosystem, Toodledo, is available in addition to iOS, watchOS, Android and in all browsers of the market in the form of extensions so that we can access all our tasks from wherever we are regardless of the operating system we use.

But in addition to having to pay for the application, which offers us a basic plan of use, we can contract other annual plans with more options that also offer us storage space. These plans have prices of $ 14,99 for the Silver plan, $ 29,99 for the Gold plan and $ 89,99 for the Platinum plan that also offers us 50 GB of storage in the cloud.

A

Any.do has mainly the same characteristics as all the applications that I have mentioned above, always placing the tasks that have a closer due date at the top, to avoid losing them in the immensity of information that we can store in the application. But also, allows us to add documents, images or audio recordings directly from Dropbox or Google Drive. Every day we will receive an email with all the tasks that we have to do. When the date of the task approaches, we can postpone it for another day in a very simple way.

Any.do is available for iOS, Android, OS X, Chrome and web version, to be able to use it from any computer without having to install any application. With the free account we can make a simple use of the application to manage our tasks, but if we want to make the most of it, we will have to pay an annual subscription that will cost us $ 26,99.
