Since the final designs of the Galaxy S8 began to leak and with the purchase of Bixby by Samsung, we were able to see how Samsung's new flagship terminal would offer a button dedicated to the new assistant of the Korean firm, an assistant with which Samsung took a step further in its quest to distinguish itself from Google.
But what at first seemed very beautiful soon turned into a nightmare, since the button was a decorative object at least until yesterday. But that wait has come to an end, after Samsung's announcement in which S8 users can now use Bixby in English, in addition to the Korean one that was already available since this terminal hit the market.
Bixby is more than an assistant with which we can control practically the entire device without having to touch it at any time, something that today we cannot do with Google Now, Cortana and much less with Siri. Currently Bixby integrates with all native Samsung applications but the company has released the API of this assistant so that developers can integrate it into their applications and thus expand its functionality.
To activate Bixby, we can do it through the voice command "Hi Bixby" or by pressing the dedicated button on the terminal. Bixby is able to interpret fluid communication by understanding the context of a conversation and matching the answers. To encourage the use and make each more useful for the user, Samsung has presented several promotions with which users can earn points to exchange them for products, trips, gifts ... For now, the Korean company you have not reported what languages Bixby is currently learning, so we cannot know when it will be available in Spanish.
