How to block calls from unknown and hidden phone numbers

Many are suspicious users when they see that they are receiving a phone call from a number that they do not have stored in the phonebook and, not knowing it, they avoid picking up. We can also find other users who like to receive calls from any number and later store it to know at all times who wants to contact him. For some time now and thanks to messaging applications, it is likely that if you do not use your device to work, you will receive very few phone calls at the end of the week and those that you may receive may not be of your interest to take.

iOS allows us to natively block any phone number including it directly in the blocked numbers, so that we will never receive messages or calls from this number. But it also allows us to block all incoming calls on our device so that it only rings when the call is made by a phone number that we have stored in our phonebook.

Block calls from hidden and unknown phone numbers

Although this is not its main function, thanks to Do Not Disturb, we can block all the phone numbers that want to contact us. We just have to configure it correctly as indicated below.

  • First we go to Settings and select the Do not disturb function.
  • Next we activate the Manual tab.
  • Now we do not go to Allow calls from and select All contacts.

In this way, only all calls from the phone numbers that we have in our phone book will ring on our device. All calls from phone numbers that are not in our directory or are hidden phone numbers will not ring on our iPhone as long as we have Do Not Disturb mode activated on our device.

Thanks for the information, interesting, I blocked it once a company called me or something like that to change the operator for example and if they kept calling, but this method is very good to know so that only acquaintances call you, for when I am traveling for example I'll do it like this.

In general it does not work.
I accept numbers that I do not know that imply income.
I do not accept hidden numbers.

This is one of Apple's great debts in addition to the upgrade of the iTunes interface, uncomfortable and outdated.

Yes, it is about time that any call with a hidden number can be blocked on iPhones. It has been done for a long time on Android.
