The Control Center Mobile Data button could arrive in iOS 10

Toggle for Mobile Data

I remember when I bought my first iPhone: I left the phone 100% charged at night and in the morning, without having touched it, it only had 50% left. For that reason I had to learn how to manage the battery and one of the things I did was install SBSettings to enable / disable 3G. In iOS 7, Apple introduced the Control center, but we are already on iOS 9 and you have not entered a button or toggle for Mobile data. That could change in iOS 10.

The discovery has been made by the developer Andrew Wiick. As you can see in the image that heads this post, Wiik has discovered a iOS 10 framework called ControlCenterUI. Inside this framework there is a class called CCUICellularDataSettings And when you forced it to run in iOS Simulator, you saw a new button appear. This button or toggle It is transparent, but it changes color when we activate it.

The button for Mobile Data will arrive in iOS 10

As in the case of Dark modeIt seems that sooner or later we will have a new button in the Control Center. What we do know is that this new button will manage mobile data somehow, but we don't know exactly what it will do. It is possible that you deactivate all mobile data, which would only allow us to make / receive calls and SMS. On the other hand, the possibility that we can choose what type of connection to use cannot be ruled out, switching between data packets (2G), 3G and 4G. Taking into account that the autonomy can go down if we use 3G / 4G, this would be the most interesting option.

On the other hand, if we could manage the different data connections from the Control Center, it is not known whether the Touch 3D or we could manage it in different ways. In any case, we are at such an early stage that there is not even an icon available. If the button arrives, when it does and how we will manage it, we will know over time.

It is incredible that at this point we still do not have a button for mobile data, it is actually quite uncomfortable to go to the settings to deactivate / activate.
