Call of Duty: Mobile tops the list of most downloaded games in more than 100 countries

Call of Duty: Mobile

Last Tuesday, as planned, the guys from Activision, via Tencent released the final version of Call of Duty: Mobile, a new title that joins the battle royale fashion, which came from the hand of Fortnite and PUBG, but which also offers us the classic modes that we could find in the version for PC and consoles.

Today, the mobile version of Call of Duty has been downloaded to over 35 million devices, counting both the iOS and Android platforms, which has allowed it to top both lists of most downloaded games on both platforms, placing in second place Mario Kart Tour, another of the latest hits that is also available for mobile phones.

Call of Duty

Activision officially confirmed that it was working on the development of the mobile version of Call of Duty last March, launching the first beta in May. Like Fortnite and PUBG, Call of Duty Mobile is available for download completely free of charge and offers us different in-app purchases. According to the company:

The response from Android and iOS fans has been incredible. Call of Duty: Mobile has already surpassed 35 million downloads on its way to becoming the number one iOS app for overall downloads, not just across games, but across apps, in 100 countries.

This is an incredibly fun experience, and we are just getting started. Congratulations to the Activision teams and our partner Tencent's TiMi Studios for making such a great game for gamers. And a special thanks to our fans for their continued support. There are tons more things to look forward to as we release more content and updates.

Tencent, is the same developer of PUBG, so both the interface and the performance of the game are very similar to PUBG for mobile, a game that has become the most profitable of the mobile gaming ecosystem.
