It's been a week again, which means we already have another free app for the next seven days. This time, the app of the week is CameraPlus (not to be confused with the famous Camera +), an application that combines the functions of a camera that even promises that we will be able to take close-up photos, which is known as "macro", and the possibility of applying filters to improve images before sharing them .
What perhaps differentiates Camera Plus from other applications of this type is what they have dubbed as AirSnap, an option that will allow us to use a second device to do photos by remote control. The idea is that, for example, we put an iPhone on a tripod, we have alone or accompanied and we take the photo from an Apple Watch or another iPhone, which is not bad.
Camera Plus: remote camera, filters and photos
For everything else, Camera Plus is an application very similar to other camera applications. When we are going to take a photo, if we slide up or down, we can choose between the normal mode, the macro mode or remote mode, which in theory creates the perfect setting for every possible situation. Among the options available for the camera, we have:
- Large button, which will allow us to take a photo by touching anywhere on the screen.
- Stabilizer, which will try to correct the movement of our hands.
- Bursts, something that is good to have as an option, but the native camera of the iPhone 5s or later already has this option. In any case, it can come in handy for iPhone 5 and earlier.
- Timer. In case we do not have another device to use AirSnap, we can configure a time that will wait before taking the photo.
Although I have to admit that it is not an application that catches my attention, it is best to download Camera Plus now that it is free for a week and link it to our Apple ID. Who knows, maybe I will buy an Apple Watch in the future and it will be good for me to have caught it now.
