One of the best applications to improve the iPhone camera to our iPad is finally here. CameraTweak HD is the version for our device that already existed for a few months for iPhone. As with the iPhone version, the iPad version offers us a good handful of options for our photo and video camera, sure many of which you have missed at some point.
The first thing to note is the possibility of separate the focus of our camera and the exposure. A simple touch on the screen will place the two photos together, but if we keep pressed on the focus, we will see how we can drag each one of them independently, and thus focus on one point, but adjust the exposure according to the light from another different point. . We also have a slider bar to be able to zoom very easily.
But that's not all, because there are even more options which you can access by holding down the button to take photos:
- Focus and Exposure Toggle: to alternate between the double focus that I mentioned at the beginning and the usual single focus
- Time Lapse Shot: to take photos every time you set using the central wheel
- Timer: set the camera to take a photo at a set time
- Burst Mode: Take Burst Photos
- Burst Mode Low Res: Take Burst Photos in Low Quality
The two timers work in a similar way, appearing a central wheel in which you can program the time you want. If you press on the wheel you will alternate between seconds and minutes. Swiping around will increase or decrease the time. Time Lapse Shot will keep taking photos continuously until you press the option button again, while Timer will only take a photo after the time you have set.
Burst modes are the same. Set the number of captures you want to take, and pressing the camera button will take them in a burst. They only differ that the «Low Res» takes them at a lower quality and therefore the bursts are much faster. than normal mode.
But also, if we click on the button «Options» (bottom left) we will see different grids that can help us take better framed photos.
If all this seems little to you, the video option also offers very interesting options. Thus, by clicking on the record button and holding for a few seconds, options such as:
- Focus and Exposure Toggle: like the camera, to have a double or single focus
- Frame Rate: to define the fps we want our video to have (maximum 30 fps)
- Aspect Ratio: define the aspect ratio of the video
- Take Snapshots during filming: to take photos while recording a video
Furthermore, by clicking on "Options" we can define the resolution we want our recording to have.
We have all this available thanks to CameraTweak HD, available in Cydia (BigBoss) for $ 0,99, a price more than adjusted for an application with so many options.
