Surprisingly to all the cloud file storage company, dropbox, has published a new application, in the App Store for iOS and in the Play Store for Android, called Carousel. This application allows users to fully manage the photos and videos that they have stored in Dropbox, in such a way that they can sort them by events and in chronological order.
The Carousel application acts independently of the Dropbox application, it will be in charge of showing us thumbnails of all the content of images and videos that we have stored in our account, no matter in which folder these files are stored. It presents a convenience towards the user to be able to have the images and videos stored well ordered in the gallery and to be able to dispose of them quickly thanks to their order, by way of timeline.
In addition, Carousel allows users to share your photos and videos between them easily, also giving the possibility of communication between private messages in the same application. If we download it to our device, it will automatically upload all the photos and videos that we take with it. The default upload is available with a Wi-Fi connection, but it can also be configured to be added through a mobile data connection.
With this launch Dropbox tries to compete with the same service that it offers icloud, with the photos in streaming and encourages users to create an account of its storage services, in this way to be able to have conversations and share the gallery comfortably with friends, family or colleagues. The only downside that we can put to this service is that all these files are automatically uploaded to our account and if we do not have much space in it we should expand it. For this, Carousel offer in the settings the possibility of joining Dropbox Pro, with 100 gB of space, for € 89,99, ensuring that we can have 40.000 images stored.
