This is how watchOS 3.2's new Cinema Mode works

After the news of the new betas of iOS and macOS, the Apple Watch was missing to show us what it was going to bring new with its next version, and since yesterday we already know it. Apple released watchOS 3.2 for developers in its first Beta and we have already tested its most outstanding novelty: the new Cinema Mode, or as Apple calls it in English, Theater Mode, a new function that will silence and turn off the screen of our Apple Watch in those situations in which it is necessary, such as in the cinema or while we sleep. We show you how it works in the following video.

The usual configuration of the Apple Watch includes activating the screen through the gesture of raising the arm and turning the wrist, that is, the gesture that we all do to see the time. But the reality is that on many occasions, without the intention of seeing the time or the clock screen, the movement of our arm makes the screen light up, which can be annoying in places like the cinema or while we sleep. For this, Apple has added the new Cinema Mode (Theater Mode) by means of which the screen is inactivated, which will not turn on with any movement, and also activates the vibrator, leaving the Apple Watch in silence.

With this mode activated we will receive notifications, and we will also notice them through vibration, but to see them we will be forced to touch the screen or press the crown of the Apple Watch, since we make the movement we make, the screen will not be activated. In the cinema, in the theater, sleeping ... there are many day-to-day situations in which this new mode can be useful, and it will reach the whole world with the public version. It also supports Do Not Disturb Mode, so at night we can already have our Apple Watch on our wrist without being disturbed in any way, not even when the screen lights up by accident.
