Connect the iPhone / iPod Touch with firmware 3.0 to the PC through the «iPhone Tunnel Suite» by USB

Since the iPhone / iPod Touch firmware has been updated to version 3.0, users who do not have WI-FI cannot connect via SSH with the iPhone Tunnel Suite via USB.

Here's a guide to get connected

Have installed on the iPhone the OpenSSH from Cydia or Icy.

Have installed the iPhone Tunnel Suite.

Have installed the iTunes 8.2.

Search your computer for: C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Apple \ Mobile Device Support \ bin \ and copy the file "ITunesMobileDevice.dll"

go to C: \ Program Files \ iPhone Tunnel Suite \ iTunnel and paste the above file.

From this moment you should be able to use the IPhone Tunnel Suite.

IPhone Tunnel Suite Settings

IP Tunnel: 127.0.0.1

Wi-Fi IP: The IP of our iPhone (Example: 192.168.2.123)

Port: 22

User: root

Password: Alpine

Easier. Download disk aid, connect your iPhone with the USB cable and you're done

  2.   jose said

but Disk Aid is no longer free! and the version that works with OS 3.0 only works for 14 days and then to pay

  3.   Felipe said

oie and the solution for view by ke clearly in view is not the file »common files» that would be valeee.xD

    Philip:
In view it would be to find where that file finds that file in the program.
    Richard:
disk Aid is disk aid and this tutorial is initially for those who were used to using the iPhone Tunnel Suite and now cannot.

Hi everyone, has anyone tried the iphone Tunnel Suite with the windows 7 operating system and it worked for them? It won't let me connect even when I had it with version 2.2.1, instead with XP without problems. I have tried this tutorial and it continues to do the same, I start it and I get the connection configuration screen but once I accept it, the configuration screen comes out again. Any solution for this? THANKS FOR EVERYTHING.

The same thing happens to me with windows 7, not even launching the program with Xp or Vista compatibility lets go of that first mobile configuration screen. And if you cancel it obviously then there is no mobile to connect to, what do you ask: p

Well, for Messi and the rest of the users who have the same problem, I have found the solution by browsing other websites, it does what it says in the tutorial (change the file "iTunesMobileDevice.dll", although I first renamed the one that is in the "itunnel" folder so that it is not overwritten) and then the program is put in compatibility with xp sp3, and run this program as administrator, the program opens and when the configuration screen appears, you put it as the photo
You will get the error message and from recconet you give it to reconnect and a new window will appear where you give update or add and you will be inside. I hope it has explained to me.

PS: in windows 7 the folder «common files» comes out in English and is called «Common Files»

    FRIENDS:

Use DiskAid and all the problems are over, just download it, install it and use it.

Friends, does this program exist for mac?

I have a question about the permissions of the files and that is, is it possible to give it permissions with a program that does not require internet access? I tried using ifile (since available in cydia) but it never gave the permissions to the files, and I did not care because once the permissions were given, it would not let me edit or delete them

    regards

Thanks Berllin !!! I've been looking for a solution for the iPhone Tunnel for a few days. As soon as I get home I try it and discuss if it works. Or is it not necessary to be the iTunnes with which you synchronize the iPhone?

It works!! Brilliant!! Just say that at first it takes time to connect to the server and I was wondering if I wanted to retry it and then recognized that I was accessing with a different "number" and if I agree. Click on Yes and you're done. Running as usual.

    Thanks again berllin.

The correct path in Windows 7 is "C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Apple \ Mobile Device Support \ bin"

  15.   berlin said

It's the same, the only thing that changes is that it is in English (Common files: Common files) ...

The problem with DiskAid is that you cannot assign the corresponding permissions to the folders, so if you install an application that you downloaded in .zip / .rar (payload) and "install" it through DiskAid, when you try to run it on the iPod it just won't happen.

I would like to know how I can put an office file to the ipod touch 1g without wifi and be able to see and edit it with QuickOffice on the Ipod toch

  18.   berlin said

Well, you just have to enter it through SSH, with a software by USB port like the one in this article

and this is valid for firmware 3.1.2
