Recent architectural plans and drawings submitted to city authorities in Brisbane, Australia reveal that Apple intends to move forward with the building your Apple Store located in the historic building of MacArthur Chambers.
These latest data confirm that Apple has not abandoned the decision to establish itself in the city of Brisbane, from where the first plans and reports on the possible construction of one of the company's famous stores date back to 2011.
Apple was thought to have scrapped the idea of building the store there after the project was delayed by a bankruptcy filing by a major contractor in 2012 and numerous reports of problems with the interior modernization of this historic building. The origin of the MacArhur Chambers Building dates back to the 1930s, when it was used by United States General Douglas MacArthur in the Second World War as the Area headquarters of the allied forces of the Southwest Pacific.
According to the exterior plan, Apple intends to remodel and remove a number of sidewalk structures in front of the store, such as a pedestrian bench, and plans to relocate a tree to create symmetry with the main entrance of the store.
