Using the automatic lock has its pros and cons, the biggest pro being battery saving, the biggest cons that if it crashes while you are installing or updating Cydia it will cut the installation. The solution is this new modification: Dim to Blackscreen.
Dim to Blackscreen will change the automatic lock to turn off the screen (with previous attenuation). It will use the time you have configured in Settings> General> Automatic lock, and instead of locking it will turn off the screen, but your iPhone will remain connected and doing what it was doing before, you just have to touch the screen to turn it on again.
You can download it free en Cydia.
You will find it in the BigBoss repo.
You need to have done the jailbreak.
Ok, but after you install it, you can only do the "real" lock with the sleep button, right?
Yes as always
I use the autolock, which thanks to its toggle I can activate it from sbsettings.
It is also free on cydia.
Yes, I also used it but the autolock prevents the screen from turning off, with the consequent battery drain. Dim to Blackscreen + Quicklock 2 (so as not to punish the sleep button and it is also free in Cydia), it is the ideal solution. I have Quicklock 2 in the dock so I can lock the phone without having to change pages on the springboard.
