Disable access to Siri and Passbook from the lock screen

Siri and Passbook

It's funny how, despite setting a lock code for the iPhone, access to Siri and Passbook is still possible. This means that anyone with bad intentions can carry out certain actions on the terminal, such as making a phone call.

If you want to increase the security of your iPhone even more, the solution is disable the use of Siri and Passbok from the lock screen and thus it will be impossible for anyone to manipulate the phone without knowing the lock code. To do this, you have to perform the following steps:

  • Access the Settings menu of our iOS device
  • Select the General section
  • Enter the 'Code lock' section
  • We set a lock code (if we didn't have one) and disable the 'Allow access while locked to Siri and Passbook' options.

It is done. Now we lock the terminal and check that it is no longer possible to invoke Siri by long pressing the Home button.

When you deactivate the lock code (if you do not want to use one) Siri is available again. I mean, this doesn't work unless you want to use a lock code.

Obviously since it is a security measure for those who use a lock code.

If you do not have a lock code, it means that you do not care if they pick up the phone and walk with it (friends, family) so invoking Siri will be the least of the problems since they will have access to 100% of the terminal.
