Discoloration on some iPhone 4 screens

The iPhone 4 has not yet been officially launched and we already know of two quite unpleasant problems of the first units that were delivered yesterday to some users:

  • The rear is not as strong as commented and scratches easily or at least that is what has happened to the guys at engadget with the unit they are working on.

  • The screen of some users (more and more) who received their iPhone 4 yesterday are presenting discoloration problems. The symptoms are small brown or yellowish spots that appear on the Retina Display. Worst of all, customers experiencing these issues are unable to get a replacement drive due to a shortage of drives for the iPhone 4. (follow on from the jump)

If the number of affected people continues to increase, Apple will receive very harsh criticism since it is not the first time that the screens of its products suffer from yellowing (as happened with iMac, for example)

the problem is that these units have been manufactured in China, and the screen they have been fitted with is not the original retina display with gorilla glass, but the «glaucoma» display ...

That is why it is never good to buy with the first units that come out, and then they will begin to correct the errors and everything will be fine.

It is something inadmissible, a mobile of that range that has these errors is as if you buy a Ferrari and it gives you engine problems.

From Chile I am counting the days to have it in my hands, regarding this issue of discoloration rumors or worrisome images always arise, for example of the white iPhone 3g and 3gs it was said that the back part turned yellow when it overheated and I say it with "FALSE" firmness because I have always had the white models and more than once they have been heated without suffering any discoloration.
Maybe these gentlemen demanded it to the fullest, producing those symptoms?
but despite those rumors now I'm going for the black model ... hehehe

Joer… from what I see, Apple is no longer what it used to be in terms of quality.
Up to 7 times I had to change my iMac 27 ″ (one of them did not even turn on) and from what I see the iPhone follows the same trend ...

I love Apple products and that is why I can say that it is better to appear to version 1.1 of the iPhone 4, so it already has errors like these corrected, because I have read that not all computers have the same errors.
