One of the most popular applications for mixing songs is djay Pro, an application that continues to be updated adding interesting functions for its current and potential users. This application, created by Algoriddim, has just been updated to add some of the functions that it showed in last September event.
I'm talking about the hand gesture tracking system that allows users to mix songs without touching the iPad screen. This new algorithm uses artificial intelligence to identify hand gestures using the device's front camera.
DJ Ravine It shows us in the video that we show you below how this new djay Pro gesture control system works.
Artificial intelligence maps and detects the gestures captured in 3D, gestures that become commands to control the application. Users have a set of hand gestures, most intuitive to create loops, apply filters, rhythms, effects, transitions, scratch on virtual turntables ... so the learning curve of this new functionality is not very complicated for those who are already used to working with physical equipment.
According to the developer, the hand gesture recognition technology that has been implemented in the latest update has been possible thanks to the neural engine of Apple chips.
This new functionality is not only available on the 4th generation iPad Air managed by the A14 Bionic processor, but also, it is also compatible with iPad Pro managed by A12X and A12Z processors.
This update includes improved MIDI controls and easier access to both Dropbox and Google Drive. djay Pro is available for free download on the App Store, but in order to take full advantage of it, we have to go to checkout and pay an annual subscription of 6,99 euros or 49,99 euros per year.
