EnableLivePhotos, activate Live Photos on any iPhone [jailbreak]

Screenshot

Having new iPhone-like features added to older devices via jailbreak is only a matter of time. Yesterday we were talking about forcy, one of the first tweaks that tries to emulate the 3D Touch of the iPhone 6s / Plus. Forcy was also updated yesterday and now we can launch the home screen quick actions by long pressing an icon, if we wish, and sliding an icon up to make them shake. It is clear that it is not all a pressure recognition system, but on the home screen it fulfills perfectly. Yesterday also came to Cydia EnableLivePhotos and, as you can guess from its name, activate the live Photos en unsupported devices.

The great thing about EnableLivePhotos are two things. The first is that it is a tweak that will not cost us a penny, something that is always welcome. The other is that it is one of those tweaks that are simply installed and already we don't have to configure anything plus. Although, well, when we do not have any configuration to base ourselves on, we cannot touch any value to see if we make it work in case it does not, something that is happening to me right now on the iPhone 5s.

Anyway, I am reading in different media that the tweak works, especially on the iPhone 6 which is the first to stay in the way of live photos. Actually, these are the things that they do not like about Apple, since I do not think that that type of function makes any device go heavy, something that happens with the fourth generation iPad with Medusa, a tweak that simulates the split screen of the iPad Air 2 (although in Cydia it says that it is the iPad Pro ...).

Those of you who have tried EnableLivePhotos, does it work for you? There is another tweak that also serves to activate Live Photos. It is called Flex and it is said that it is much better, but it is also paid.

Tweak Features

  • Name: EnableLivePhotos
  • Price: Free
  • Repository: BigBoss
  • Compatibility: iOS 9 +

On my iphone 5s it does not work! Is the same thing happening to him?

It doesn't work for me either or I don't know how to use it in a 5s

Hello, Bubo and Manuel, as I mentioned in the article, it is also failing me. In Cydia there is a video that demonstrates that it works, but it is not my case. In the video, he goes into changing the wallpaper, chooses the Live Photos tab and moves it. I don't see the Live Photos tab either.

On my iphone 6 plus it works perfect, it leaves me livewallpaper on the locked screen just like the iphone 6s, I am trying to download the original apple wallpaper the «fish» but this is as difficult, a friend in the 5s does not work, it seems being that he can't stand it at all.

    Doesn't work on iPhone 5s

Hello, Gerardo. I recommend Live Photos Enabler. I think it is not in the official repositories, but it works for me on an iPad and the 5s. Try repo.hackyouriphone.org which is among the sources that Cydia recommends.

      A greeting.

Which cydia does the hackyouriphone repo recommend? That's nonsense ... hackyouriphone is a repository of hacked tweaks, like cydia recommends it ...

Hello Patricio. Honestly, I think the same as you. It seemed crazy to me, but it is the first of the list of sources that Cydia recommends… If you have jailbreak, you can check it yourself.

Well, honestly, now they don't appear to me and I don't know why they appeared before. Before it was in "other sources", I do not know if I installed a tweak that modified something. Anyway, some of those tweaks were not in the official repositories.

iPad Air 32gb, it does not work, the button is cut off at the top of the screen inside the camera application ... let's see if they update and it works, excellent page, keep up with this Mr. Aparicio. 😉

Hi Carlos. Try Live Photos Enabler. It is called almost the same, but with the words separated and it does work on an iPhone 5s and an iPad 4.

      A greeting.
